Remembering God's Vital Truths

Those of us who are older sometimes have lapses of memory, but Jill Price has no such lapse. In fact, she has an extraordinary memory that has stunned scientists. Ms. Price can remember what happened to her on any given day over the past 30 years. If a person gives her any date during that 30 year period, she has the amazing ability to tell them what day of the week it was, the weather, what she had for breakfast, the television programs she watched, and the people she spoke with.

A truly amazing God-given ability!

There are few folks living who have a memory like Jill Price. This is why we need reminders to complete simple tasks and keep our appointments. And this is especially true when it comes remembering spiritual truths.

The apostle Peter fully understood our need for spiritual reminders, when he wrote:
I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things …..Yes, I think it is right ….. to stir you up by reminding you ….. Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things” (2 Peter 1:12-15).
Beloved, no matter how good our memory is, there’s still a great need to be reminded of biblical principles from time to time.

To facilitate our memory along the above lines, a healthy dose of daily Bible reading and study (Acts 17:11), home studies (Acts 5:42), and involvement in Sunday morning and Wednesday night Bible classes, can all help us in remembering God’s vital truths.
