In the last few days before the arrival of Christmas day, I've noticed that everywhere I go, folks are moving at jet speed. Moving at jet speed contains several deficiencies:1) You don't have time to enjoy the simple things of life (see article).
2) You don't have time to enjoy carrying on a casual conversation with people.
3) You don't have time to intently listen to people.
4) You don't have time to enjoy the beauties of God's creation.
5) You don't have time to study God's divine Word and make application of it in your life.
6) You don't have time to really get to know God (Psalm 46:10).
Beloved, when we're "moving at jet speed" — we miss out on what's really important in life.
Isn't it time for all of us to slow down and smell the roses?
