Some People Just Never Learn

While perusing the news articles this morning, I came across this USA Today article about a Navy rear admiral being fired for public drunkenness and nudity. The article states that this high ranking naval officer (and I quote), "became so intoxicated that he was unable to stand and had to be brought by a hotel employee back to his room. Later, he was discovered wandering naked through public areas of the hotel, seeking a towel to cover himself, the investigation found."

Here is a supposedly well-educated man, a 34-year Navy career veteran, who seemingly couldn't understand the well-known fact that the mixing of alcohol and drugs would cause lightheadedness, disorientation, dizziness, confusion and yes, even death. See here, here, here, and here.

Some people just never learn (yes, even so-called "educated" people).

Beloved, just one alcoholic drink (without the drugs) will cause the above symptoms.

It's evident to this writer, that the above high-ranking Navy officer might need to educate himself on what the wise man Solomon stated in Proverbs 20:1:

“Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise” (see article). Also note Proverbs 23:29-35; Proverbs 31:1-5.
