It would seem that folks who have opted for same-sex marriage, thought that once they got the higher courts in our country to approve of their sinful lifestyle, that everything in their life would turn up roses and they would live happily ever after — a kind of utopia ..... but they were wrong!As this American Thinker article indicates, these same-sex folks now have the meddling arm of our government constantly looking over their shoulders. Here's a quote from the above article:
"Gays and lesbians will soon realize that their support of progressive liberal ideology led to having the most important thing, their relationships, seized and placed under government supervision, along with the assets they have worked to build up. This is the real goal of liberalism: to deceive people into giving up their freedom and assets. And there's no going back."
Because of government intervention, a conundrum has now been created ..... unnecessarily. When we go off the beaten path on our own, separating ourselves from God's inspired word regarding the subject of marriage and enter into an illicit union not approved by God, we quickly find ourselves in a quagmire (see definition #2). As the author of the above article states, "there's no going back."
All of the problems listed in the above article could be avoided if we would just adhere to the divine instructions from Almighty God regarding marriage — One man and one woman for life (Matthew 19:3-6; Romans 7:1-2; 1 Corinthians 7:39 NET).
Long ago, God's prophet stated that it was not possible for man to "direct his own steps" (Jeremiah 10:23). So, why would man ever want to allow a godless government to direct his steps??? It's far better to "trust in the Lord" and allow Him to direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
