On The Other Side

When we think about heaven with all of its splendor, we can’t wait to enter into that unending existence — what unimaginable joy, peace, and tranquility we will experience! (Matthew 25:23; John 14:27; Revelation 22:1-5).

C. S. Lewis once said that while we are on this earth we are “on the wrong side of the door.” But then he added, “All the leaves of the New Testament are rustling with the rumor it will not always be so. Some day, God willing, we shall get in. ” (source).

Thankfully Jesus doesn’t leave us “on the wrong side of the door.” It is only because of His sacrifice and resurrection that we are able to joyfully anticipate heaven and its never ending majesty and beauty (1 Corinthians 15:1-28; 1 Peter 1:3-4).

Beloved, only when we enter into that heavenly realm on the other side of this earthly existence, will we completely understand the marvelous blessings that await us there (Revelation 7:9-17; Revelation 21:1-7).
