A Lack Of Parental Authority --- Some Solutions

In this Fox13 article, family physician, psychologist and author Leondard Sax, offers the following six solutions to remedy the lack of parental authority (I have added comments in parenthesis and article links):

1) Have family meals at home and make that a top priority (time together as parent and child is very important).
2) Take screens out of the bedroom (out of sight, out of mind).
3) Put screens in public places and limit how they are used (teach the importance of communicating face-to-face).
4) Teach humility (everybody doesn't get a trophy!).
5) Have an alliance between the school and you (enforce honesty and integrity).
6) Parent what they do (and be a godly role model).

Dr. Sax tells us that some of the above solutions may be difficult and hard to enforce, especially if they are new for the family. Persistence and commitment are a necessity.
