Submission And Christ-Likeness!

Image
When I read this article by brother David Diestelkamp, one of the writers for the "Think On These Things" publication, my eyes focused on the above key phrase in the article — Christ-likeness!

"Don't Dance With The One That Brung Ya!"

Image
The faithful child of God knows that the modern dance is sinful (Mark 6:16-24). They know that the New Testament teaches that lasciviousness, or indecent body movements, promotes lust (James 1:14-15). The modern dance is a “work of the flesh” .... and un-repented of, will deny one entrance into Heaven (Galations 6:19-21).

"You Might Be Confused, But God Is Not"

Image
As I read this article about President Trump revoking President Obama's mandate, compelling our nation's public schools to permit restroom and locker room access on the basis of gender identity, my eyes fell on what the author of the article (Daniel John Sobieski) stated in his first paragraph:

A Day Without WInd

Image
Can we imagine a day without wind? While wind reeks havoc on the hair as well as the nose (if you have allergies), there are many benefits of having wind (see here, here, and here).

"The Candle Of Hate Carries No Light"

My good retired teacher friend, Ramnath Subramanian, has written another above titled thought-provoking article here regarding protests and protesters, in which he quotes from Mahatma Gandhi:

Going Farther Than The Extra Mile

Image
James Robertson is a one-of-a-kind man who truly believes in the word "commitment." He proves it each day, by going just a little farther than the extra mile (Matthew 5:41) — he walks twenty-one miles every day to work. James has been walking to work for almost ten years, having a perfect attendance record.

Anyone who has read any of the articles on this blog, know that I love human interest stories, simply because I love people, and love listening to and reading about their stories (see here).

A Religion Of Convenience --- Part II

Image
Convenience is the father of neglect. Our church buildings are full of Christians who neglect to obey the commandments of God because of convenience. They read where the Bible commands the Christian to study its sacred pages (2 Timothy 2:15). Yet many brethren cannot find the time or opportunity to obey this dictate from God. These are the same brethren who crumble when difficulties or persecution strike their lives (Luke 8:13). They are so spiritually anemic that they become easy prey for false teachers and digression (2 Timothy 3:5-7).They will pay dearly for their neglect in the Day of Judgment.

When I Look At Today's Woman

Image
When I look today's woman, such as this American Thinker article portrays, I'm so thankful that my grandmother and her two sisters (my aunts) are no longer around to see how far women have declined in our society over the past three generations.

Millennials And Casual Sex

As I read writer and blogger Matt Walsh's latest article about Millennials and casual sex, I immediately thought of the admonition the apostle Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 6:16-18 (ASV):

On The Other Side Of The Coin

A Religion Of Convenience --- Part I

Image
Our world seems to have gone convenience crazy. Most man-made conveniences are truly blessings from God (Genesis 1:28). Yet mankind has carried the idea of convenience over to religion. America now has “drive-in” churches and churches where services are guaranteed to not last over 30 minutes (or your money back?).

"I Am Healthy, Wealthy, And Wise"
