Men Manning Up And Leading Their Families

Blogger, writer, and speaker, Matt Walsh, one of the writers for the online publication, theblaze, has recently written this article, providing us with the following 5 ways men should man up and lead their families (see here and here):

1) We should never expect more from our wives and our children than we expect from ourselves (be a selfless leader).

2) We should demonstrate moral courage.

3) We should go to church (regularly -- see here) and pray with our families (as well as praying for our family).

4) We should get plenty of exercise (the spiritual kind -- 1 Timothy 4:7-8; Hebrews 5:14)..

5) We should die. As Christ died for the church (Acts 20:28; Ephesians 5:25), we as followers of Christ, should die to self (Philippians 2:1-4; Galations 5:26; James 3:13-18; cf. Galations 2:20).

If we as men, will willingly add the 5 ways that Mr. Walsh enumerates above, to our character and daily living, not only will stronger families be the result, but we can become God's "good man" as well.
