"You Must Be The Change You Want To See In The World"

As I watched these two videos here and here, regarding the use and misuse of present-day digital technology, I thought about the above titled Mahatma Gandhi quote brought out in the second linked video (see his 10 rules for changing the world here).

As the above two videos well illustrate, digital technology is seemingly controlling us rather than the reverse. The Proverb writer well understood this as he wrote, "It is better to be slow-tempered than famous; it is better to have self-control than to control an army " (TLB). The apostle Paul once stated, "All things are lawful to me, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything " (1 Corinthians 6:12).

Do we fully understand what Paul stated? ......"not brought under the power of anything" (including things digital, as in technology).

As I wrote here, Satan, is the master of distraction .... so much so, that if he can keep us away from the Book (by whatever means, digital or otherwise), he will eventually have complete control over the thoughts and intentions of our heart, swaying us away from engaging in the Lord's business.

God seeks "thinking" men and women -- those men and women who can see through Satan's devices, and pay close attention to what God is telling us through His divine and inspired word (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

As the above title quote to this article states, "You must be the change you want to see in the world." If the first century Christians understood this (and they did - see here), so can we in the twenty-first century (see here).

Beloved, we can change the world for Christ (Philippians 4:13). The question now becomes, "will we?"
