This writer is thankful that winter is fast approaching (see forecast). After Monday, temperatures here in El Paso are going to drop down into the 60's in the daytime and into the 30-40 range at night. I'm thankful, because the cooler temps will help clear the air of pollen particles that cause allergies (see here). For the past twelve days, I have been sick with some kind of allergy related illness, but thanks to the good Lord, and a good nurse practitioner, I'm on the mend.Beyond being thankful for the above, I'm also thankful that the approaching winter will motivate people of both sexes to have to put on some clothing once again to cover up their nakedness. With all of the sexual harassment charges being levied on some Hollywood power players (see here), political power players (see here), and news media power players (see here), I'm thankful that folks are beginning to realize that we need to cover up all bodily flesh that might cause any lustful thoughts from gazing eyes (it applies to both men and women alike!).
Beloved, how we dress reflects our inward thinking. The wearing of modest clothing (also see here) will help curtail the sexual harassment problem that we are presently experiencing in our society. God provided Adam and Eve with clothing to hide their nakedness for a reason.
Regarding appropriate dress, both men and women have mirrors by which to distinguish the kind of clothing that constitutes appropriate dress. By looking at ourselves in the mirror, it's not difficult to figure out, using just a little bit of common sense thrown in for good measure.
