5 Life Lessons From Roger Federer

After looking at this YouTube video, the following are 5 life lessons from tennis great, Roger Federer (I have included related article links):

1) Learn from loss -- We need to learn from our mistakes in order to improve our life and become a stronger individual.

2) Constant quest to improve -- If we're not getting better, we're getting worse. From time to time, we need to question and take inventory of ourselves, because if we do the same thing over and over again, we will stay the same (no improvement). Staying the same is going backward, which is a form of insanity.

3) Targeting goals translates to success -- Life is all about passion and purpose. Maintaining a master plan and targeting short term and long term structured goals are crucial to success. We have to have a clear purpose as to what we want to do and achieve (see here). Without goals, we cannot properly compete in life.

4) Keep calm under stress -- We need to stay focused on achieving the goal at hand. Maintaining a positive mindset is key to achieving our goals (also see here).

5) Play to your strength (Philippians 4:13) and believe in yourself (see here).
