Keeping Christianity As The Moral Bedrock Of Our Nation

In this American Thinker article by writer Tom Trinko, can we even imagine "a world with no religion"? As Mr. Trinko states in his good article, "The reality is that without God, men become monsters."

The inspired Apostle Paul realized that without God, men can indeed "become monsters," when he wrote the following inspired words, regarding the first century society's rebellion against God: "Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions" (Romans 1:24-26 NKJV). Read the whole text here.

A further inspired testimony of just how corrupt a society can become without God, is found in Jude 1:5-16 NLT. This kind of godless society can sadly sink to this level of thinking: "....became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:21-22). Also read about the godless society in Noah's day (Genesis 6:5-7 NLT).

The inspired writer Jude provides us with a clear and simple solution designed to prevent a society from sinking to the above level of corrupt thinking: "But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love. And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives" (Jude 1:20-23 NLT).

Beloved, God seeks "thinking" men and women, with the ability to logically think and reason for themselves (see here). This is why we need to engage in a "daily study" of the Bible for ourselves (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV; cf. Psalm 1:1-2 NKJV), and not allow someone else, i.e., "George" to do our studying (or thinking) for us (see here). This is the only way we can continue to keep Christianity as the moral bedrock of our nation (see here and here). Also read Psalm 78:1-8, noting the important connection between the words "children" and "generation" (see here).
